Evaluation
For my College Magazine, I tried to encorporate all of the conventional features other college magazines and other magazines have. For example exiting cover lines that reflect the magazine it's self. I learnt how to make full use of all the functions on Photoshop and I also learnt some new features and effects too. For example, how to create drop shadow on the texts and layer style and how to change the opacity on the footer to make it not look as bold and to make it look a little bit more muted and softer. I also learnt how to make my magazine, look good and like an existing product. This can be done by taking a good quality image, making a good mast head that isn't too long and is 'snappy' and then also by choosing cover lines and stories that reflect your magazines genre and what you're talking about.
I have used technology by using Photoshop to create my actual product. I have used the Apple Mac computers that we have in college to help me do this. I also used a camera from college to take my picture and then I also used my iPhone to create tasks too. I made sure I used the latest models to create this so I could make sure it was at the upmost best it could be.
I used all the conventions apart from a plug because I wanted the reader of the magazine to but the magazine for it to interest and inform them about the college and the educational stories. Not for the 'freebie' you could possibly win. Other than that I used everything else, the Masthead, the cover lines, the good quality image and the other important features.
If I was to complete this task again I would make sure that everything was done more efficiently and make sure that I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do before I started my production. Other than that I am really happy with my product and think it is a good reflection of my work.
